Welcome to Roanoke Valley Montessori School’s Summer Program! Our summer sessions are a great way to continue your child’s Montessori education and the perfect opportunity to introduce new students to our school.  Montessori follows children to meet their individual developmental needs and offers quality educational opportunities to maximize their education for life. The Montessori approach to education is consciously designed to recognize and address different learning styles. Learning is not focused on rote drill and memorization, rather on activity and exploration.  The goal is to prepare children for life, not just school. Students develop self discipline, focus, an internal sense of purpose and motivation, and a profound love for learning.  Our Summer Sessions continue the regular Montessori education for students, with extensions in science, art, cooking and great outdoor experiences!  Children have the opportunity to care for RVMS’s outdoor organic garden, as well as lots of water play and other outdoor activities. Children seize the chance to observe the life cycle in action, as well as a chance to study botany, geography, art, math, reading, and writing skills.  We welcome RVMS families and non-RVMS families for summer enrollment.  Our summer program is a 5 day program.  Please call for the weekly rates.

Our summer camp goal is to provide a fun,  relaxed and interesting program in a
Montessori prepared environment.  The summer camp program is an enrichment program in Montessori math, language, science and geography.   Children ages 3-9 will have weekly Spanish class.  Children 3-9 will have a guest speakers and field trips throughout the summer.
